So I am really glad we started simple here, because I learned alot. Mainly about how important it to to cut squares correctly. I could never cut in a straight line and it shows! So don't look too closely. I had a blast doing this, but mainly just laughing at myself while doing it. I am going to get some more practice in with some more hot pads before the end of the month. Here is to hoping I will eventually be able to cut in a striaght line!

They turned out cute, Julie!
That's what I hope whenever I try and sew something!
Very cute, Julie! A rotary cutter and a ruler are the only reason I can cut anything close to straight!
Good job, Julie. I like the fabric. I agree with Emily about the rotary cutter--they are pretty nice. I was kind of nervous to let Katie use mine, but she did well. And by the way, I could help but notice the date on your pics. Did you do these ahead of time? No fair--you had more time to work on yours.....!
I like it! No worries, I'm a beginner too. :)
Thanks, I think I will need to invest in a rotary cutter. Laura, I did not do them ahead of time, I just don't know how to use my camera to set the time, lol. The funny thing is all of my pictures have this date thing on them, even the ones of Madelyn being born and I know she was not born in 2007 :)
Actually, I don't really care for a rotary cutter. I'm much better with just scissors. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Ah, very nice Julie. And the rotary cutter is the way to go. SEW easy. I hope you didn't make a bunch because I was bringing you a few that I made as well!
