Jammies

I'm getting sick of buying pajamas for Russell. They are getting much more expensive than I want to pay, plus I have quite a bit of fabric that I can just sew some pants and find some cheap shirts to wear with the pants. Plus, summer is coming and he doesn't need anything warm and fuzzy.

It was convenient that I finished these during Meghan's nap because Russell dumped his cup of water all over him and the house. I was not about to go into the kids room to get him dry clothes so he had to wear these pants with no shirt until he could get a dry shirt.

I got the fabric last year to make pillowcases for the kids we had from Ben's family only to find out a couple weeks later that they no longer liked Thomas and had moved onto Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I just used the simple trace a pair of pants a little larger then sew the side seams of the waist, then sew the entire leg seams all the way and turn under the hem and a casing for the waist pattern to make them. Tada! New pants. I'll get three pairs of pants and a pair of shorts made with one leg in each fabric.
