My sewn gift (in more words than pictures...)

I do not have a picture of my sewing project for this month because I'm don't have my computer.  But, if I had one to show it would look like this...

but it's the wrong book and not sewn together yet.  The finished project looks a little like this book, but of course, of a different variety...

does it kinda make sense?  It really is pretty cute in real life.  And, I hope Lauren really enjoys it in the future
